has been manufacturing nougat in Perth,
Western Australia since 1996 using the
finest local ingredients available. Our
logo – Flying Swan – pays
tribute to the graceful Black Swans unique
to Western Australia. Flying Swan is located
in the picturesque port of Fremantle with
its many historic buildings and pristine
white sandy beaches. An idyllic location
that combines both unspoilt natural settings
and a clean friendly environment making
it an ideal setting to combine the traditional
European methods with outstanding local
produce to create nougat that is uniquely
Australian.
Our nougat is hand-made from the finest
Australian ingredients and prepared in
the traditional European method using
hand crafted copper bowls to produce delicious
nougat full of freshly roasted Australian
almonds. At Flying Swan we also ensure
we always buy the highest quality ingredients
from the locally grown almonds to the
highest quality Western Australian honey.
Western Australian honey is special and in
high demand as no antibiotics are in WA bee
hives, which makes our honey far superior. This
form of honey is also 100% natural containing
no additives, preservatives, artificial colours
or flavours. We choose Australian almonds (cultivated
in insecticide free conditions) due to their
high content of calcium, vitamin E, fibre and
essential mono-unsaturated fats. Almonds are
also a good source of anti-oxidants that assist
in maintaining good health and contain absolutely
no cholesterol.
In addition to our fresh ingredients, our nougat
is hand made to ensure the highest standard
of care and quality are achieved. Great care
is also taken to ensure each batch is consistent
and of the highest possible quality. Flying
Swan's nougat is truly a quality indulgence.

and our nougat is also cholesterol free
and contains no artificial preservatives.

Flying Swan Manufacturing recognises
the importance of hygiene to ensure the
highest product quality. As such, our
manufacturing facilities have passed the
Australian “Food Safe” safety
and quality standards and our confectionary
products conform to the highest levels
of hygiene and quality requirements. Our
nougat is stored in temperature-controlled
facilities at all times.
Food safety and quality is very important
to Flying Swan, and as such we have had
a food safety plan for many years. We
then upgraded this to a HACCP PLAN (certificate
number HCV 20087) that is externally audited.
